Industrial experience

Apply what you learn on your course to help solve real-world problems.

You can gain valuable industrial experience by taking a placement or an internship - typically before starting the final year of your course. Either work over the summer or for a whole year through our 'year in industry' option as part of an Earth and Planetary Sciences or Environmental Science course.

This degree includes a one-year industry or overseas placement with a company of your choice, allowing you to develop important business skills and put your learning into practice.
